Thirty-six pieces of artwork (up to three from each grade level) will be selected as finalists based on a judging rubric. Each finalist and finalist's submitter will receive $100 worth of Crayola products (retail value), and each finalist will receive a plaque featuring a replica of their original artwork. Finalists' original artwork will be framed and on permanent exhibit at the U.S. Department of Education national headquarters in Washington, D.C., and its regional offices across the country, where a significant collection of children's original art and their statements about creativity are on display.
Additionally, one of the 36 finalists will be selected as the grand prize winner, based on the same judging rubric. That student's family and the student's submitter's family each will win a 7-night Royal Caribbean cruise (up to a maximum of four people per family.) In addition, Crayola LLC will provide a total of 8 winners' round-trip air/ground transportation to closest cruise port (maximum $500/person. )
