Coloring Goes Digital

EASTON, PA - September 27, 2011 – The timeless activity of coloring has gone digital in such a cool, Crayola way parents may never get their iPads back! Crayola has teamed up with Griffin Technology to take coloring digital with the Crayola ColorStudio HD app and Crayola iMarker. Together, they turn an iPad into an interactive coloring book that lets kids’ imaginations run wild as they color moving, animated scenes that come alive with music, sound effects and hidden surprises.

Kids can select colors from the digital Crayola 64 Box and then use the iMarker to create the look of Crayola crayons, markers, paints and colored pencils as the stylus interacts with an iPad. The ColorStudio HD app offers 30 different animated coloring pages. Young artists can also free draw, play games and create their own coloring pages. When kids are done coloring, they can save their creations in the gallery, email, print or upload them to Facebook (mom’s account of course!). The ColorStudio HD app can be downloaded free from iTunes with an iMarker purchase.

Crayola ColorStudio HD app and iMarker bring an entirely new digital play experience for kids to the iPad. The app comes with 30 different coloring pages in themes like “Monsters,” “Jungle” and “Underwater,” providing hundreds of hours of play time. Animated images stop moving on the screen so kids can easily color them in and colors stay inside the lines, so objects look picture perfect when they start moving again. There’s also an eraser function to tidy up your page and an “undo” arrow that removes larger areas of color. The Crayola iMaker is now available nationwide at Apple stores, Toys R Us, Best Buy and from www.griffintechnology.com. The package includes a Crayola iMarker digital stylus (1 “AA” batteries included) and a free download of the ColorStudio HD app.
