Crayola Lap Desk is a kid-sized portable lap desk, stylishly -- but practically -- designed and offered in two color schemes -- lime/aqua and yellow/fuchsia. The desk features a detachable mesh pouch for easy access to art supplies, and for storage of those all-important finished masterpieces. The set also includes a detachable, washable fleece pillow that can be pressed into service when hard-working artists need to refresh themselves with a few zzzzzs. Crayola Lap Desk will be available in July for about $16.99 at mass merchandise and toy stores nationwide. The kit is appropriate for youngsters age 4 and up, and is certified non-toxic by the Art & Creative Materials Institute.
